Welcome to Annarch Movement Studio

Discover the Art of Movement

Annarch Movement Studio is born in London.

Emerging at the intersection of dance and architecture, Annarch Movement explores how the body navigates space - how movement shapes feeling, and how places quietly carry our stories.

The name nods to “anarch,” which means finding freedom from within. A freedom that comes from reconnecting with your body, your senses, and the environments you move through every day.

Here, movement is shared space, supportive, steady, and open.
A place where you can meet yourself again.

At Annarch, we move to reconnect.
We move to remember.
We move to find freedom.

Welcome to the movement.

Meet Our Founder

I’m Hanna, founder of Annarch Movement Studio.

My work has always moved between two worlds: dance and architecture. I trained and practised dance academically in Panama and was awarded scholarships to attend selected ballet summer intensives at renowned institutions such as the Royal Ballet School, the Washington School of Ballet, and Academia Internacional Coreautica experiences that shaped my approach to movement. Alongside this, I trained and practised as an architect in Panama, working on design projects while continuing to teach and explore dance.

When I moved to London to complete my MA in Architecture and Historic Urban Environments, I continued both designing spaces and teaching dance with the same commitment I had back home.

With time, I realised these disciplines were never separate. Architecture isn’t just about buildings, it’s about the environments that hold the memories, histories, and pivotal moments of generations before us. They carry light, impact, and sometimes trauma. And we move through them every day, shaped by our surroundings as much as we shape them.

Annarch was created at that intersection. It’s a space that acknowledges those traces in the built environment, while using movement as a way to reconnect with yourself, relate to others, and navigate the world with more clarity and strength.

I’m excited to share this journey with you and to build something meaningful together.

Annarch is all of us - welcome to the community!

Are you wondering what is PBT?

Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) is an innovative body-conditioning and strengthening programme designed to enhance technique by developing the specific muscle memory dancers need across all styles of dance. Using ballet-focused, carefully graded exercises, from junior to advanced levels. PBT supports skill development in a progressive and accessible way.

The method is widely used by teachers around the world to help students build the strength, alignment, and body awareness required to reach their personal best. It also plays a valuable role in injury prevention and rehabilitation, supporting dancers and athletes in performing safely and confidently.

Because it can be challenging for students to feel which muscles initiate correct alignment, PBT incorporates the use of an exercise ball to improve posture, weight placement, and activation of the appropriate muscle groups. This heightened awareness carries directly into dance practice and athletic performance.

At its core, PBT focuses on strengthening the core, refining weight placement, and enhancing alignment through a gradual series of targeted exercises and repetitions that build lasting muscle memory.
